On February 12th through 13th, Centre First United Methodist Church will hold our first Marriage Enrichment Retreat. The purpose of this retreat is to help married couples develop better, stronger marriages that can last a lifetime!
Who is this retreat for? This retreat is for married couples. We hope that anyone who wishes to enrich their marriage will come and be a part of the retreat—from newlyweds to people who have been married for decades! This retreat is open to people outside the Centre First UMC family—but space is limited! Where and when will the retreat take place? The Marriage Retreat will take place on evening of February 12 and the day of February 13 at the beautiful Lake Guntersville Lodge. The Lake Guntersville Lodge is located at 1155 Lodge Dr, Guntersville, AL 35976 in Lake Guntersville Resort State Park. How much does it cost? The cost for the Retreat will be $35 per couple plus the cost of the room and meals. Couples will be responsible for their own meals at the restaurant in the Lodge. (Dinner Friday Night, Breakfast & Lunch Saturday) |
Charles & Janet Alexander
Who will lead the retreat?
Charles & Janet Alexander will lead the retreat. Charles & Janet married in 1964 and have 2 grown boys and one granddaughter. They are still “getting married” and hope to continue for many more years. They have been involved in leading marriage seminars since 1973. Charles’ professional career has been as a pastoral, marriage & family therapist and Janet’s career was as a music teacher in secondary education. They are retired and live on Logan Martin Lake in Pell City, Alabama. Charles maintains a small practice in supervision & therapy and Janet enjoys percussion instruments. Both sing in the Pell City First United Methodist choir. Backpacking, hiking, kayaking and water sports are among their interest as well as travel. |
